Doolin

Doolin should be understood as an atmospheric village and a gateway to several of Clare’s major landscapes, rather than as an isolated attraction. Traditional music holds a central place here, with regular pub sessions that have greatly contributed to its reputation. The village lies at the meeting point of the Burren, the Atlantic coast and the route to the Cliffs of Moher. Its pier also makes it possible, depending on the season and weather, to reach the Aran Islands or discover the cliffs from the sea. To avoid cannibalisation, the cliffs, the Burren and the islands are covered on their own pages: here, Doolin is presented as a lively village, a place to stay and a music destination.
