Ah, Northern Ireland… A British province often unfairly overlooked in favor of the Republic of Ireland. And that’s a real shame! The Northern Irish province is a territory rich in exceptional sites! Dolmens, castles, enchanting coastal landscapes, cliffs, lakes, mountains… not to mention its unforgettable towns like Belfast, Derry, or Bushmills! Human-sized, festive, dynamic towns where there is always something to do!

Welcome to Northern Ireland, a province belonging to the United Kingdom, governed by the British Crown. Northern Ireland is a small Ireland all on its own. Except that it uses the pound sterling and has a somewhat more turbulent history than the Republic of Ireland.

Whether you love wide open spaces or towns rich in history, Northern Ireland is a fantastic destination! We love its wild beauty, the hospitality of its people, its Irish pubs, restaurants, museums, and countless tourist activities!

Among its most famous sites are its coastal road along the northern coast, Dunluce Castle, the Mourne Mountains, and the famous Giant’s Causeway, a grand and mysterious geological site located by the sea! One of the most beautiful in the country!

Magnificent, this province has many facets that are a real pleasure to discover! Now a very safe region since the Good Friday Agreement, we recommend exploring its northern coast with its steep terrain where cliffs and beaches alternate in shades of deep blues and greens. Not to forget the Mourne Mountains (the Mourne Mountains), or a city like Belfast, a city in full renewal that, despite a difficult history, has bounced back to become a dynamic and welcoming city!

Forget the years of the Troubles when the Northern Irish conflict was on everyone’s lips: Northern Ireland is in full renewal and continues to improve its efforts to coexist among its Catholic and Protestant, loyalist and republican communities.

Among things to know, remember that Northern Ireland is still a British province, directly affected by Brexit. Also, the pound sterling is the official currency, unlike the Republic of Ireland where the Euro is used daily. Exchange rates vary regularly, especially with Brexit, so be sure to check in advance to get your currency!
